1. Technical Support Engineer, GSM Access
(Work Location: Guangzhou)
Responsibilities:
This position will provide emergency and specialized technical support for our GPRS/GSM/UMTS wireless customers for our Access product
• Be responsible for the immediate investigation and recovery of system outage and degradation and the follow up analysis leading to the final resolution of the root cause of the problems
• To provide prompt and timely investigations and resolution for field problems in GPRS/GSM/UMTS products. Provide technical assistance to our field service-engineering group in Asia
• To interface with oversea Design and Design Support group to investigate and resolve design issues. Work with VO product groups or integration team to be service readiness of new release and product.
Requirements:
• Minimum one year working experience in Telecom design or field support or testing. Willing to carry after hour support mobile on the rotation basis and to travel to Asia customer sites as required
• Min 1 year working experience in GSM / GPRS field support services TAS/ETAS /VO function is preferred
• Experience with IP, Unix, LAN, X.25, CCS7 operation and administration would be an advantage
• Good technical and analytical/trouble-shooting skills
• Speak fluent English and Chinese. Good oral and written communication skills.
• Pleasant personality and good interpersonal skill
• Easy to work with others and be a good team player
• Knowledge of GPRS/GSM/UMTS wireless network is an advantage
• Electrical Engineering/Computer Science Bachelor degree or equivalent

(Work Location: Guangzhou)

3.UNIX System Administrator (Configuration Administrator)

Responsibilities:
• Unix system & ClearCase administration
• Project and development tools support
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or relative majors
• Minimum 1 year working experience in UNIX (HPUX, Solaris, Linux) system administration
• Shell script, C++, Perl programming skill is a must
• Experience in Configuration management (ClearCase) and development/compiling tools is preferred
• Fluent English, CET-6 holder preferred
4.Wireless OAM GNTS Technical Support Engineer
(Work Location: Guangzhou)
Responsibilities:
This position will provide Wireless OAM Product Technical Support (GNTS) services for our GSM/PCS/CDMA/GPRS/UMTS wireless customers on Wireless OAM products.
• To provide GNTS Technical Support to Customer’s GSM/PCS/CDMA/GPRS/UMTS OAM products within the Asia markets
• To participate and pickup knowledge regarding OAM products during VO verification and after being put in service
•To provide Emergency Recovery (ER) to Customer’s GSM/PCS/CDMA/GPRS/UMTS wireless OAM products within the Asia markets
•To transfer of new product and new software knowledge to FSE groups for in-service support
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years working experience in testing and/or field support service (GNTS/ER/VO) function of Nortel Networks GSM/GPRS/CDMA Wireless OAM family of products is preferable.
• Experience with Unix platform (HP Unix, IBM AIX, SUN system etc.) operation and administration is essential.
• Networking experience such as X.25, TCP/IP operation and administration is an advantage
• Good knowledge of GSM/PCS/GPRS/CDMA wireless network operation and maintenance
• Strong sense of responsibility
• Good technical and analytical/trouble-shooting skills
• Good verbal and written communication skill
• Good interpersonal skill
• Self starter
• Able to work effectively under pressure
• Team player
• Electrical Engineering/Computer Science Bachelor degree or equivalent
