FC4中console下vi死活不能syntax on,幫忙呀,謝謝了!!

我剛安裝了FC4,使用配置文件時(shí),可是vi死活不能語(yǔ)法高亮顯示,我按手冊(cè)中在/etc/vimrc中原來(lái)是:
" Switch syntax highlighting on, when the terminal has colors
" Also switch on highlighting the last used search pattern.
if &t_Co > 2 || has("gui_running")
  syntax on
  set hlsearch
endif'
改成:
:syntax enable
syntax on
set background=dark
也是不行.
我的 原來(lái) TERM=linux,改成 TERM=xterm-color
照樣不行,請(qǐng)問(wèn)這是為什么,我的設(shè)置對(duì)嗎??
我的顯示器肯定支持彩色 *_^

        Vim can highlight keywords, patterns and other things.  This is

        highlighting can be defined for ordinary terminals, color terminals

可是在RH9中我用vi.vim怎么都一樣呢?>??
