關(guān)于4T磁盤陣列的格式化

新購置了14 X 300G的SCSI磁盤陣列，做RAID5，在Win2k3下能正常格式化，認(rèn)出3600多G。

CPU為雙XEON 3.6G EM64，SCSI卡為LSI Logic1020/1030。服務(wù)器上另有2塊146G的SCSI盤安裝系統(tǒng)，該磁盤陣列只是用于存儲數(shù)據(jù)�？墒窃贔reeBSD 6.0 AMD64 CD1下安裝只能認(rèn)出不到2T，使用的是UFS2，提示讓我修改geometry，說現(xiàn)有的472723 cycl / 255 heads / 63 sectors=7610359995 sectors (3715996MB)不正確。具體提示如下：

其中提示“For SCSI, it's the translation mode your controller is using.”作何理解？


WARNING:  A geometry of 473723/255/63 for da2 is incorrect.  Using
a more likely geometry.  If this geometry is incorrect or you
are unsure as to whether or not it's correct, please consult
the Hardware Guide in the Documentation submenu or use the   
(G)eometry command to change it now.

Remember: you need to enter whatever your BIOS thinks the
geometry is!  For IDE, it's what you were told in the BIOS
setup. For SCSI, it's the translation mode your controller is
using.  Do NOT use a ``physical geometry''.

cent OS 4.2 X86_64? 這是什么操作系統(tǒng)？

LZ這種問題一般來說是母板造成的。
你可以嘗試修改一下磁盤參數(shù)

正是不知如何修改磁盤參數(shù)才在此提問。
啟動之后查看/var/log/messages，可以看到 /dev/da2是3790G的容量，是正確的，可是格式化出來的只有1531G，與實際相差太多。

cent os是一個利用redhat企業(yè)版的公布的原碼再次編譯得到的免費的redhat企業(yè)版操作系統(tǒng)

呵呵，我也是從19989年開始接觸Redhat 6.0而學(xué)習(xí)Unix的，看來真的跟不上形勢了。誰能幫我先解決BSD下的格式化問題啊！Cent X86_64正在下載中。
