在WIN2000中,ASE12.0 內(nèi)存4G 其他培植沒(méi)動(dòng)
當(dāng)配置total memory = 800000
時(shí),無(wú)法啟動(dòng)數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)

這段log可不是重新啟動(dòng)時(shí)的errorlog，如果是啟動(dòng)不了，要把啟動(dòng)那一段的errorlog帖出來(lái)

在windows 2000中,數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)的內(nèi)存使用大概不能超過(guò)1.47GB,好象你配置800000應(yīng)該是不是太大,你調(diào)小試試.

嗯。。。最關(guān)鍵的地方是看你的Windows版本了，如果是Win2000 Server，就1.5G的了，如果是Win2000Advance Server�？梢�3G。

我用的是Win2000Advance Server啊,只配了800000頁(yè),配300000是就可以
不知何解?請(qǐng)高手不惜指教!!

Tip or Workaround:
For the standard version of Win2k 2 GB is max (practically 1.9 GB). To achieve this one must do the following:
Step 1: increase starting virtual memory address to 23662592 decimal (which is 1691000 hex) as shown:
sp_configure 'shared memory starting address', 23662592
Step 2: restart server

This states 2BG is the max (in reality 1.9 GB), with the exception of Windows 2000 Advanced Server, and Windows NT Enterprise, which allows you to take an additional 1GB, normally reserved by the OS and make it available to an application.

Follow these steps to configure ASE for above 1.5 GB on Windows NT (2 GB max) or 3 GB on Windows NT Enterprise or Windows 2000 Advanced Server:

Step 1:
You need to first set the shared memory starting address for the server to the minimun value:

1>; sp_configure 'shared memory starting address', 23662592
2>; go

Step 2:
Set the total memory to what you like it to be and recycle the server (in this example - 1.75 GB )
Because shared addressable memory is in 2K pages.

1>; sp_configure 'total memory', 917504

If you find that you cannot start the server, you will need to adjust the total memory in the server.cfg file until your server starts up. (you will be able ~2gig, depending on the kernel is configured).
If you are using NT server enterprise, or Windows 2000 Advanced Server, you may be able to get up to 3gig:
Here is what you need to do in order to configure greater than 2GB memory for ASE on NT:
Step 1: Make a backup copy of sqlsrvr.exe in the sybase bin directory
Step 2: Verify the current settings of sqlsrvr.exe using imagecfg.exe:
imagecfg sqlsrvr.exe
sqlsrvr.exe contains the following configuration information:
Subsystem Version of 4.0
Stack Reserve Size: 0x20000
Stack Commit Size: 0x4

Step 3: Use imagecfg to switch on large addressing using the -l (lowercase L) switch:
imagecfg -l sqlsrvr.exe
sqlsrvr.exe contains the following configuration information:

Subsystem Version of 4.0
Stack Reserve Size: 0x20000
Stack Commit Size: 0x4

sqlsrvr.exe updated with the following configuration information:

Subsystem Version of 4.0
Image can handle large (>;2GB) addresses
Stack Reserve Size: 0x20000

Step 4: verify ASE is able to start
Step 5: The NT machine must be booted with the /3GB flag and must have sufficient paging file space (e.g., if you
want ASE to access 3G of memory then the paging file must be at least that size)
Step 6: increase total memory to say 2.2 gb (anything >; 2gb)
Step 7: increase starting virtual memory address to 23662592 decimal (which is 1691000 hex) as shown:
sp_configure 'shared memory starting address', 23662592
Step 8: restart server
