What does Senior Software Engineer do?

The position is under Global Hardware Engineering team. We’re looking for a senior engineer candidate that is proficient in Object Oriented Design (OOD) and design pattern. The candidate will be working on a software product that heavily relies on C# and open source Mango DB data. Familiarity with WPF ,ASP.NET for this candidate is a big plus however not a requirement.   

What do we need from you?
•        Education Required: Bachelors (Technical)
•        Experience Required: 3-6 years.
•        Experience of C# programming, proficient coding skills and good code style.
•        Proficient in OOD and design pattern.
•        Strong team player and good English communication.
•        Familiar with WPF, and MVVM is a big plus
•        Familiar with Python or MongoDB technology is a plus
•        Familiar with ASP.NET MVC is a big plus

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•        This employee will be expected to take part in an application development which runs on a PC and interfaces with an embedded application on client.
•        Participates in an Agile development process
•        Cooperates with peers in a globally distributed development team


Position2 : Sr SWE of ASD SH

Responsibilities:

EMC's Advanced Storage Division is seeking talented engineers with world-class programming, communication and organizational skills. We are looking for Senior Software Engineer to work in Shanghai COE. To build cutting edge cloud production that will change people’s daily life.

Responsibilities:

As a member of ASD engineer team, these individuals are expected to be responsible for design, development, and maintenance of high quality code.  
Additional responsibilities include participation in and contribution to software functional/design reviews, writing functional/design specifications, providing white papers as appropriate to describe advanced technology, and to initialize and develop test plans.
The ideal candidate will have rich experiences in Linux system programming and be familiar with distributed/cloud storage system.  The candidate must demonstrate flexibility, strong self -motivation, and a proven record of meeting aggressive deadlines as well as the ability to work as part of a cross-functional team spanning multiple geographical locations.

DESIRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

1.   Good JAVA/C++/C  programming skills
3.   Good Linux System Level programming skills
4.   Good at software design skills and algorithm.
5.   Solid understanding and usage of Linux operating system
6.   Good coordination & technical leadership capabilities are highly desirable
7.   Strong communication and presentation skills, both in Chinese and in English
8.   Experience working on file system, storage system, distributed system is a plus
9.  Experience working on python is a plus
