EMC Customer Service Center seeks a well performed Technical Support Engineer to make things work.
What does Customer Service Center do?
EMC support delivery model are Global Customer Service Centers. We have built and implemented centers across the globe – Shanghai, Hopkinton, MA; Cork, Ireland; Tokyo, Japan; and Sydney, Australia. It aims to address customer density, specialized expertise areas, and local language support.
In Shanghai, We established customer service center in 2008. With team growth and product abundant, we cover different EMC product lines and provide multiple-languages technical support, including English, Korean, Japan and Mandarin.

•Deliver a professional technical service to our customers
•Constantly help EMC achieve business goal
•Commit to help customers by quickly and effectively isolation technical issues.
What’s a typical day look like?
When it comes to talk Technical Support Engineer daily work, first thing in the morning we could have a good chance to review world-wide cases status in the queue. And know the propriety that day. Then we will discuss with colleagues cross world-wide and understand critical case background to fix out what we will do and our propriety today. You will handle the assigned case by diversified ways, such as telephone, mail and webex. Definitely, we are not an alone people when handle trouble shooting and escalation. There is a big technical expert team here that you could rely on to help you fix issues. On the other hand, with several years accumulation, there are a plenty of playbook for your reference.

Qualifications and factors for success:
•Working Experience:3+
•Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent industry related experience.
•Excellent communication in oral and written English
•Be familiar with at least one of OS (Linux/Unix/Wins)
•Be familiar with network, preferred candidate with CCNA/CCIE certification
•Ability to deal with customers technical issues by mail/phone and WebEx

General Summary
Work with an experienced team of engineers and business professionals focused on unstructured data solutions. Primary focus will be on designing solutions that help customers manage and access their unstructured date. Efforts will focus on the testing and validation of strategic solutions that span EMCs product line. Assist with the delivery of validated reference architectures and setting direction for the future of unstructured data solutions.
Principal Responsibilities
•Become a key contributor to the team with experience and desire to grow into increasingly challenging technical, business and leadership roles.
• erform practical and functional testing of business processes associated with shared storage systems. Analyze performance results and establish recommendations for system design and configuration. Identify best practices and requirements for to improve or enhance solutions.
•Work with technology peers to establish testing procedures and methodologies
•Constantly assess and provide feedback to management on the issues with existing solutions or products and influence future designs.
•Create and review Solution requirement documents, solution deployment guides
Skills
•Required 3+ years of experience in file system architecture and implementation of enterprise file systems solutions.
•Required 2+ years of experience dealing with and EMC IP based storage systems or any one of the major storage vendors product
•Should be able to demonstrate proficiency in one or more of the following technologies: “Network management”, “Windows Server and security administration”, “File System internals”, “IP based storage”, “File Security”, “Big Data”, “File Systems reporting and analytics”.
•Good communication skills.
•Ability to work independently and take direction.
•Good documentation skills. Should be able to organize and document observations and capture those as part of reference architecture or requests for enhancement.
•Sound knowledge of Ethernet networking and performance testing concepts.
•Knowledge of commonly available storage benchmarks like IOMeter, FIO, or file system assessment tools.
•Solid understanding of FC / iSCSI protocols, NFS / CIFS protocols and storage stack overall.
•Knowledge of enterprise applications like Oracle Database, MS SQL Database, Messaging applications like Microsoft Exchange, Hadoop is a plus.
•Knowledge of low latency storage software stack like Infiniband and is a big plus.
•Working knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell, PERL, Python, and AWK/SED is a plus.
