驚人新聞. Hans Reiser被逮捕，指控殺害老婆

check namesys的郵件列表, 看到一個(gè)post還以為是開玩笑，可是看了之后差點(diǎn)沒有暈倒.

ReiserFS項(xiàng)目的老大 Hans Reiser 已經(jīng)被奧克蘭警方逮捕，指控謀殺他的老婆Nina Reiser.

前幾天ReiserFS項(xiàng)目的核心成員已經(jīng)公開跳出來數(shù)落ReiserFS，并且半暗示openSuSE10.2開始就要改用ext3. 現(xiàn)在聯(lián)系到新聞報(bào)道關(guān)于Hans最近的家庭近況，看來是受到很大的影響.

阿門，讓我們?yōu)镠ans 祈禱，如果罪名成立，就是謀殺重罪了. 他還有2個(gè)只有5歲和7歲的孩子.

技術(shù)怪才，基本上都比較難融入社會。

關(guān)鍵是我覺得太突然了，天天在看namesys的maillist, 翻翻郵件，前幾周Hans還在那里announce reiserfs4的開發(fā)進(jìn)度，前不久還寫信請教過他問題, 突然就出了問題.而且是殺人.

digg和slashdot上關(guān)于Hans 的殺人案件討論非常熱烈，昨天看到一個(gè)最新的update, namesys的雇員和前雇員，包括俄國和烏克蘭為namesys工作的程序員都出來說話了，namesys的技術(shù)作家，也是Hans的老爸也出來表態(tài)了，聲稱reiserfs4的開發(fā)不會受到影響.

single system上，目前l(fā)inux平臺，我認(rèn)為還是reiserfs的性能最好. 很多人提到reiserfs不是很健壯，可是看看ext3的郵件列表，你會發(fā)現(xiàn)常人感覺中比較健壯的ext3其實(shí)穩(wěn)定性問題也很多.

其實(shí)前一段時(shí)間報(bào) Hans Reiser 的妻子失蹤的那篇新聞上的口氣，當(dāng)時(shí)就感覺怪怪的。當(dāng)時(shí)擔(dān)心的事情還是被證實(shí)了。

哈哈，reiser被捕的前一天，suse就宣布要停止reiserfs的支持，轉(zhuǎn)到ext3上

In September, Jeff Mahoney from the SUSE Labs sent out an email to the
opensuse-factory mailing list analyzing several issues with the ReiserFS
filesystem. In the message he proposed changing SUSE over to another
filesystem. The responses must have been positive, as Novell today confirmed it
will be changing SUSE\'s default filesystem in the next version from ReiserFS 3
to ext3.

SUSE has been an ardent supporter of the ReiserFS file system for more than
half a decade. After the company\'s acquisition by Novell, that relationship
continued. But of late SUSE saw several problems with ReiserFS. Mahoney in his
email identifies several technical problems, as well as problems related to
maintenance. The problem grew out of proportion ever since Hans Reiser, the
main developer of the file system, relegated ReiserFS v3 to maintenance mode
and would vehemently resist any proposals for change except for bug fixes.

有希臘神話里面的神就夠了,干嗎還要玉皇大帝,如來佛祖?
