Description:
Hi

On applying the latest FKU 120011 to a sun4v and rebooting we get the following:


pstt1000d console login: WARNING: ldc: cannot negotiate hypervisor LDC services group: 0x101 major: 1 minor: 0 errno: 22
WARNING: ldc: cannot negotiate hypervisor LDC services group: 0x101 major: 1 minor: 0 errno: 22

The error is due to ldoms related changes requiring a certain minimum level of firmware ( 6.4.6 ) as opposed to the released level of the firmware.

The error is harmless unless one intends to use Ldoms, in which cases a firmware upgrade is required, otherwise the message can be ignored.
Possibly a call generator as it will be seen on every reboot though.

For now we will README note it in 120011.

Suggested README note:

On sun4v machines, the following message will appear if the machine is not
running firmware containing support for Logical Domains. This message is
harmless and can be ignored if the user does not wish to create multiple
domains. In order to run Logical Domains you will need to upgrade the firmware
to version 6.4.6 or greater"

6539243 ldc prints warning messages on console when running newer Solaris with older SysFw (6.3.x)
