Quality Assurance Engineer – Virtualization
Job Summary
The Quality Engineering team at Red Hat is looking for automation quality engineers for Red Hat Virtualization testing. As a Quality Engineer, you will be participate in creating test plans, researching new features, and developing automated test scripts. You will also perform acceptance, function, regression, integration, and performance testing on the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization products. Our team culture encourages you to come up with innovative solutions to problems, as well as offering you the opportunity to work with best and brightest engineers in the open source industry. Ideal candidates will have a passion and desire for testing, scripting and examining how things work internally.
Key Responsibilities:
* New feature research and test plan development
* Develop and maintain automated test scripts and test cases (both manual and automatic)
* Review automated test scripts and test cases (both manual and automatic)
* Execute automated test scripts, analyze and summarize the testing results
* Analyze, report, and track defects
* Debug software problems
* Operate automated test tools
Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years working experience or Master's degree with at least 2 years working experience
* Solid skills and background in Linux for at least 3 years
* At least 2 years working experience in software testing or development experience, development experience is a plus.
* Working experience in virtualization area is a plus
* Solid scripting experience in bash, perl, or python for at least 2 years
* Familiar with a wide variety of components of Operating Systems (Kernels specifically)
* Self motivated and ability to work under pressure
* Ability to communicate fluently in English (verbal and written) |
