Why can't I type Chinese characters

Sorry I cannot type chinese characters right now, so I have to type English words now
I have installed fc4 some days ago , it is used fine, but yesterday the scim could not type Chinese (it is OK before). the input panel toggles OK with Ctrl-Space keys, But there is Chinese input method choices, The only two input methods are English/Europe and Other language/Inner Codes. The gnome interface is of Chinese languange, so Showing Chinese Characters has no problem.
I have installed scim, scim-libs, scim-tables-* using apt on fc4 and they are all installed OK, I don't know what's wrong with the damned input methods, could anyone help me ? Thanks. I don't want to waste more time again on that problem !!!

在scim輸入法 菜單上。
實(shí)在不行，卸掉重裝。重裝還不行，就要考慮一下是否裝了別的什么包產(chǎn)生了沖突。

安裝了fcitx，就好了，把scim卸載了，又可以灌水了
