linux上ifconfig -a顯示RX Packets的errors不為0表示什么意思

我這里有一臺機器，裝的debian 4.0的操作系統(tǒng)。
ping它，發(fā)現(xiàn)丟包率有40%

上google找了很多一般說可能是配置的問題，
但是用戶說把程序重啟了一下，就不丟包了
我想問一下，errors表示啥意思，
硬件什么情況下會導致這個問題？
軟件什么情況下會導致這個問題？

我這里有2臺DS20E的機器，上面跑了生產(chǎn)系統(tǒng)
現(xiàn)在有這樣的一個問題，就是機器運行個1個月的樣子，網(wǎng)卡的網(wǎng)速會由100M變成10-100k的樣子
重啟網(wǎng)絡服務網(wǎng)速會恢復，還有可以把現(xiàn)在運行的網(wǎng)卡切換到備用網(wǎng)卡上，網(wǎng)速也會恢復
說明一下，機器是裝Tru64 5.1b操作系統(tǒng)
網(wǎng)卡用了tru64上面的工具，做了網(wǎng)卡冗余，就是2個網(wǎng)卡綁定一個ip
交換機用的cisco 2960的交換機，網(wǎng)線重做過，現(xiàn)在就是沒有換過網(wǎng)卡
還有該機器老報swap交換區(qū)不足，這個會不會對網(wǎng)卡有些影響？
請各位老大幫忙看看，有沒有遇到過這種情況？
這種問題該從何處下手？

自從7月23號將交換機的端口和DS20機器的網(wǎng)卡模式改成一致后(均為100M半雙工)，
一直到現(xiàn)在(8月11日)機器的網(wǎng)速均未出現(xiàn)變慢的情況
困擾一年多的問題就此解決，深層次的原因還望各位高手解惑

附修改方法：
將2960上交換機上的4個和DS20網(wǎng)卡相連端口強制改成100M 半雙工，網(wǎng)卡以前設置的是100M半雙工

出現(xiàn)這個問題的原因是網(wǎng)卡上面收到了錯誤的幀，可能的問題一般是硬件問題比較多。嘗試更換網(wǎng)線，還有檢查一下網(wǎng)口等。

另外在ping丟包的時候看看這個參數(shù)增加不，如果增加的話，可以考慮觸碰網(wǎng)線的各個接頭，看是否有改善。

如果排除網(wǎng)線問題的話，可以嘗試更換網(wǎng)卡。

和軟件的關系不是很大，但也不排除驅(qū)動的問題。


另外這個狀況還有和另一端網(wǎng)卡工作模式不匹配有關系，如果可以貼出另一端網(wǎng)卡的ifconfig數(shù)據(jù)，或者直接強制雙工模式以及速率試試。

交換機是用的cisco 2960但是沒有做配置，網(wǎng)卡有沒有做配置，應該是自適應的，這種情況會不會導致這個問題？
另外我以前問過一個問題，就是網(wǎng)卡速度突然由100M變?yōu)?0k的樣子的，也是在這個環(huán)境下
有時候交換機上的端口上的燈會閃一下橙色

兩邊配置一下看看吧，，，以前某個intel網(wǎng)卡，在linux的驅(qū)動下跟cisco 2960 確實發(fā)生過適應問題。。。

是現(xiàn)場的環(huán)境，看起來比較麻煩，上面還有hp DS20的兩臺機器，經(jīng)常會出現(xiàn)網(wǎng)速變成10k的現(xiàn)象，很折磨人

正常時速度大概80M/s左右
