Job Profile
This role forms a key part of the software QA process.  As a Senior QA lead you will contribute to the quality of our products through the maintenance and execution of all aspects of project test cycles.     


Responsibilities:
•        Accountability for on-time project delivery
•        Definition of Test project strategy and Test project plans
•        Project planning, tracking and corresponding risk management
•        Liaising with QA counterparts in China
•        Hands on experience with definition, documentation and maintenance of all test materials (matrices, test plans, test cases, test reports)
•        Representing the US QA department in intercontinental meetings (conference calls)
•        Interfacing with off-shored test execution teams, test automation team as well as development and program management departments
•        Interfacing with customer counterparts to support their testing cycle
•        Tracking and reporting of all test activities and test results, including detailed status, defect reporting and defect tracking using Team Track and execution and analysis of automated test scripts

Educational Requirements:  
BA/BS: IS, CIS, CS, related technical degree; or equivalent applicable industry experience

Skills & Required Experience:
•        At least five years Quality Assurance experience in black box testing an         enterprise-scale or Internet-deployed product
•        At least two years experience as a Quality Assurance Lead and as a Test         Project Manager
•        Project and/or Line Management of test projects and corresponding         teams with at least 5 human resources assigned to several concurrent         projects and/or testing tasks
•        Experience using MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-project (for project         planning/tracking purposes)
•        Strong problem solving skills
•        Strong English skills
•        Strong proficiency with Windows, Internet protocols (TCP/IP, POP3, IMAP),         and Enterprise Groupware (Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino)
•        Experience working with wireless Internet devices
•        Thorough understanding of client-server-client deployment architecture
•        Commitment to shipping a high quality software product

Job Description:
As part of the Program Management Office, the Program Manager at Visto ensures end-to-end management of Visto products, starting from Market requirements all the way to successful delivery.

Under minimal supervision, the Program Manager is responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple related projects directed toward Visto strategic business objectives. The program contains complex activities that span functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures. The successful candidate must have a track record of building credibility, establishing rapport, and maintaining communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization.
The Program Manager is expected to define and initiate projects, and work with Project Managers (or Functional Managers) to manage cost, schedule, and performance of component projects, while working to ensure the ultimate success and acceptance of the program. The candidate will maintain continuous alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives, and make recommendations to modify the program to enhance effectiveness toward the business result or strategic intent. The Program Manager is also responsible for making recommendations on priority of projects in order to help Engineering optimize the sharing of resources to the overall benefit of the program.
Travel is required.

Educational Requirements:  
•        B.S. or equivalent experience
•        5+ years experience in information technology, with at least 5 years experience as a project manager

•        Manage internal and external relationship and expectations
•        Experience working in a Matrix organization
•        Excellent written and verbal communication
•        Ability to introduce change to derive results
•        Produce weekly status reports for senior management
•        Leadership, influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution
•        Experience in managing multiple projects across multiple sites
•        Must be able to interact well with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
•        Experience in all aspects of a software development life cycle, and experience in project management methodologies and tools, as well as having successfully introduced a methodology
•        Knowledge of wireless networks, customer care and billing systems, experience of working with wireless carrier customers an advantage.

Bonus Points for:
•        Project Management Certification, e.g. PMP, Prince 2.
•        Knowledge and experience in wireless application technology or carrier technology
