1．系統(tǒng)安裝與設(shè)置
  1）SCO Open Server安裝
     SCO Open Server的介質(zhì)包括BOOT盤和光盤，安裝步驟如下：
     首先，將硬盤跳線為0；
    （1）用BOOT盤插入驅(qū)動(dòng)器后開機(jī)，屏幕顯示：
         SCSI ID #3 CDROM┄┄
         SCSI ID #0 Device C┄┄
    （2）Boot
         ：回車；
         則系統(tǒng)顯示
            SCO OpenServer(TM) release 5 ....
            Sizing memory ......
            loading Kernel fd(64) unix.text┄┄
                              unix.data┄┄
                              unix.bss┄┄
.
            loading Kernel symbol this may take a few minutes;
以上顯示信息說明UNIX的文本段，數(shù)據(jù)段和附加段等正從軟盤裝入內(nèi)存。
    Press  to begin installation 回車
　　（3）顯示一屏系統(tǒng)說明信息，選[continue]；
    （4）在identifying the installation media device屏幕中，
         media device to be used:[SCSI CD ROM]
          SCSI Adapter Type:[alad,Adapte 294X(7870&7880 chip)]
          SCSI Host Adapter:[0]
                   SCSI  ID:[6]
                   SCSI LUN:[0]
                   SCSI bus:[0]
         Accept above choice
    （5）Insert your installation CD_ROM in the CD_ROM drive ...
         插入光盤后選[OK]
　　（6）在selecting a keyboard type 屏幕中，
　　　 　keyboard:[US english]
    （7）在Licensing your system 屏幕中輸入license序列號(hào)，
         license number: [2DH015566]
         license code  : [mmvgqjjo]
         顯示：系統(tǒng)說明信息，選[continue]
    （8）配置基本系統(tǒng)（configuring the basic system）屏幕中，
         system name:[系統(tǒng)名]
         Domain name:[系統(tǒng)名.dom]
         security profile:[traditional]
         time zone:[other],進(jìn)入下一屏的time zone:[other]
        [manully select]進(jìn)入下一窗口
        time zone name:[bjt]
        west or east of GMT:[east]
        hours from GMT:[8]
        Language [Standard C (English)]
    （9）Initial system profile [Accept above choice]
    （10）在preparing your disk and choosing software屏幕中，
        Hard disk setup : [interactive fdisk/divvy]
        optinal software: [SCO Openserver Enterprise system,241MB]
    （11）在configuring optinal software屏幕中，
        network card : [deferred]
        network address:[no networking card configured]
        deo and graphics:[IBM VGA]
        mouse : [High Resolution keyboard Mouse]
        Email system : [MMDF]
    （12）在setting your root password屏幕中，輸入ROOT口令并確認(rèn)
    （13）在inlitialization selection屏幕中，選1，繼續(xù)安裝
    （14）當(dāng)顯示
        1. display partition table
        2. use entire disk for unix
        3.
           ......
        7. create partition
        enter your choice or "q" to quit
        選"2"并選"q"退出，使unix占整個(gè)硬盤。
    （15）當(dāng)顯示：
        1. scan entire unix partition
        2. scan a specified range of tracks
            ......
        8. Reallocate bad blocks
        enter your choice or "q" to quit.
        如不需要掃描硬盤壞塊，可用"q"直接退出。
    （16）按下列要求，創(chuàng)建文件系統(tǒng)并調(diào)整其大小
        顯示：
* please enter the swap space allocation, or press  to get the    default allocation of 49000 1k blocks:[x],其中x為分配值；
* please enter the boot space allocation, or press  to get ...... :[x],  其中x為缺省值；
        * Do you want a separate /u filesystem :[y]
        enter allocation of 1k block for the /u file system:
* Do you wish to make any manual adjustments to the size or  name ...... ?[y]
       則調(diào)整創(chuàng)建文件系統(tǒng)：swap, root, oracle, u, dbf,分別以
            c：創(chuàng)建新的文件系統(tǒng)
            n：定義文件系統(tǒng)名子
            s：定義起始?jí)K號(hào)
            e：定義結(jié)束塊號(hào)
            t：改變文件系統(tǒng)類型
         若子區(qū)不存在(type列，標(biāo)記為not used),必須首先用"c"創(chuàng)建，
         定義完后，用"q"退出；
       * 文件系劃分：（sco 5.0.5 不支持大于73G的硬盤）
          ------ 對(duì)于 2G 的硬盤,可按如下分配空間:
           (y)系統(tǒng)引導(dǎo)區(qū)  BOOT： 取缺省值(15MB)，0～14999
              數(shù)據(jù)交換區(qū) SWAP： 200MB(系統(tǒng)創(chuàng)建)， 15000～ 214999
           (y)系統(tǒng)根文件  ROOT： 500MB(系統(tǒng)創(chuàng)建)，215000～ 714999
           (y)用戶區(qū)      U    ： 300MB(系統(tǒng)創(chuàng)建)，715000～1014999
           (y)數(shù)據(jù)庫系統(tǒng)ORACLE：500MB           1015000～1514999
           (y)數(shù)據(jù)文件    DBF ： 500MB          ,1515000～2065999
              RECOVER區(qū)      : 剩余
        * Please enter your choice  
       * 文件系統(tǒng)(u,oracle,dbf等)的Mount點(diǎn) 回車選缺省值
   （17）在系統(tǒng)提示reboot或關(guān)機(jī)時(shí)，取出軟盤及光盤，按任意鍵reboot或關(guān)閉電源；
   （18）安裝Open Sever development system(開發(fā)工具)
       * 以root用戶登錄
       * scoadmin --> Software --> Software Manager -->install new
       * 在begin installation on "系統(tǒng)名"屏幕中，
         選from "系統(tǒng)名"，[continue]
       * 在select media屏幕中，
         media device: [SCSI CD-ROM device 0]
       * 在Install selection  on "系統(tǒng)"屏幕中，
         選擇[Sco Open Server Development System(Ver 5.1.0Ac)]
         選 [full]
         在license product屏幕中，
            license number: [4CF022940]
            license code :  [brvblafv]
            license data :  [g0;k;marr97d]
        系統(tǒng)顯示安裝信息；
    （19）網(wǎng)卡配置(以root用戶登錄)
       # Scoadmin --> networks -->Network Configuration manager
        --> hardware --> Add new LAN adapter
        --> Configure hardware not listed above
        --> 例如選 3Com Etherlink III ISA Combo (3C509-Combo)
       * Search for network adapter [Yes]
       * Warning [OK]
       * Networking Drive Configuration [OK]
       * Information [OK]
       * Add protocol [SCO TCP/IP]  [ADD]
(以太網(wǎng)卡選擇TCP/IP協(xié)議，Novell網(wǎng)卡選擇SPX/IPX協(xié)商議)
       * SCO TCP/IP Configuration
           Local Host Name  :系統(tǒng)名
                IP Address :
                Netmask    :
           Broadcast Address:
           Domain Name      :系統(tǒng)名.dom
           TCP Connection   :
           Pseudo ttys      :
           選擇 [OK]
       * Configure Networking Product [OK]
       * --> Hardware --> Exit --> Question [Yes]
       * Do you want this kernel to boot by default? (y/n)  [y]
       * Do you want the kernel environment rebuilt? (y/n)  [y]
       * --> File -->Exit
    （20） 增加 unix 用戶數(shù)(以 root 用戶登錄)
       # scoadmin --> File --> License Manager --> License
         --> License Additional Users
       * 在 License Additional Users 中
              License Number : 2DC007663
              License Code   : oncthyrh
              License Data   : g0;k;u25;mzbl9me
         選擇 [License] (上述為 25 用戶的口令)
       * Message [OK]
       * LIcense -->Exit
       * Tune UNIX Kernel [Tune]
       * UNIX Kernel Tuning Status [Ok]
       * Error [OK]
       * Message [OK]
       * File --> Eixt
       * reboot
2）設(shè)置終端漢字屬性
    在/etc/default下修改lang文件，增加以下幾行：
　　LANG=english_us.ascii
    LANG=english_us.8859
    LANG=C_C.c
  需在用戶的.profile中加: LANG=english_us.8859；export LANG；
