sendmail smtp 認證問題

請教一個sendmail的smtp認證問題
現(xiàn)在服務(wù)器的系統(tǒng)為redhat as4 ,sendmail和sasl都是rpm包安裝的。但LOGIN及PLAIN認證確無法實現(xiàn)。telnet本機的smtp有以下提示

[root@xxx lib]# telnet localhost 25

很多資料說，redhat的sendmail及sasl用RPM安裝的話是不用修改的。
如果要加LOGIN及PLAIN認證，該如何添加
還是安裝時出現(xiàn)什么問題？

用#/usr/sbin/sendmail -d0.1 -bv root |grep SASL命令查看結(jié)果如下：
NETUNIX NEWDB NIS PIPELINING SASLv2 SCANF STARTTLS TCPWRAPPERS

呵呵。。發(fā)現(xiàn)問題所在了。原來是以前的設(shè)置人員，將MC文件改得跟CF文件不同 ，結(jié)果做好后，用M4轉(zhuǎn)換。。。。就無法使用了。
