我剛剛已經(jīng)解決了xft對(duì)中文粗體無(wú)法顯示的問(wèn)題，中文化趨于完美了：P

sorry,i havent configured chinese input yet,have to use english.

i have done things in your way to display chinese (simsun),
ok,i can see chinese on kde now,but those characters are foggy, so are english too,but not as serious as chinese.

can anything be done about it?or have i done somethin wrong?
i didnt hack kernel as you have told to do because that xwindows properly displays chinese is top of all. this done, i'll go on to configure chinese input.

help me ,guru.
by the way ,my freebsd is 4.8 production release.

I am using big5, but i don't suggest using mingliu.ttc from MicroSoft.
Because there are many problems inside there fonts.
We use ports/chinese/arphicttf, it contains two big5 fonts and two gb fonts.
I capture a screenshot, using gb fonts in arphicttf.

This is mozilla-1.2.1 with XFT rendering. (XFree86 4.3.0 & fontconfig & XFT2)
FreeBSD is my workstation, i hope you can do that too.
