Solution Architect - Testing Services

Responsibilities - Create testing vision, test strategy, test planning, test case authoring, execution, test automation, performance, security testing (optional) and defect triaging – in other terms own the delivery; gather and elaborate requirements, estimate; distribute and coordinate QA team
- Architect and implement automated solutions across all stages of SDLC. In case of existing frameworks, should be able to analyze and enhance the existing frameworks
- Manage the delivery of architectural POCs and demo to Users, SMEs, Technical Group (Conceptualize, design, develop and present the proposed design/solution) to recommend right tools and frameworks
- Act as a technical lead who defines; implement automation implementation process from the architecture, design, coding, review process, etc
- Communicate with clients (key stakeholders or key technologists) on the areas around testing which can be put to automation thus bringing value to the project
- Act as a technical liaison between clients, quality engineering teams and management
- Provide technical guidance regarding automation, performance, scalability, security, design, and implementation of testing services
- Act as a strong leader with organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, critical thinking, solid communication and proven leadership skills - with the ability to lead multiple test paths simultaneously
- Develop test tools, test beds, data mockups, and other test infrastructure to continuously measure quality through continuous testing and integration
- Oversee the quality of software product at different stages on execution (including the application design and architecture) and establish right quality gates before the software release
- Report project/product health to management with regular frequency as per cadence within the project (daily/weekly/monthly/every release)
- Mentor new team members on domain and technology
- Be the key point of contact for any technical activities that include conducting demo to the customer
- Interact/communicate with the customer, keep them involved and updated
- Capture and share best practices amongst the Information EPAM Community
Requirements - At least 10+ years of overall experience, predominantly in Test Automation using Open Source technology stack
- Good knowledge of one domain
- Experience designing, building, and improving testing
- Experience working in at least 1 or more enterprise level application(s) defining test strategies for enterprise level application or portfolio of applications
- Hands-on experience working in large-scale or complex project where he/she is overseeing the quality of software product at different stages on execution (including the application design and architecture) and establishing right quality gates before the software release
- Expertise in software development to build and use automation frameworks using technologies: BDD, Java/.NET/C++, JUnit, Selenium, JBehave, Soap UI/Pro, Spring framework, REST, JSON and XML, Eclipse IDE, Nexus, Maven, SVN/GIT, code coverage tools (Sonar, Clover), Configuration Management
- Branching and Merging Strategy, experience in both Unit and Integration testing with exposure to virtualization
- Strong communication skills, presentation skills, ownership acumen, ability to deconstruct complex problems & projects into execution detail
- Hands-on experience working in Agile projects
- Test metrics identification, capture and review
- Good in Risk Identification and Mitigation
- Shift left strategy or testing pyramid concept
- Experience interacting with clients in a consultative manner, demonstrating expertise in solution architecture and instilling confidence in EPAM’s service offering
- Willing to identify and strategically drive technology decisions to accelerate customer expansion and reduce service delivery timelines
- Ability to work with stakeholders, both leadership and subject matter experts, to build a holistic view of the organization's strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets
- Ability to travel up to 30%
